No study Oct 11 —Hope for the Future Annual Dinner!

Many of you are already familiar with our partner ministry Hope for the Future. Mona Brackett started this ministry with her aunt Rodi when Mona was a teenager, and over the years they’ve made a huge impact on the lives of countless impoverished children and families in Romania (and now Ukrainian refugees, as well). This has become a labor of love for the whole Brackett family. Chris has served for many years with Mona and Rodi on the organization’s board, and now Christalina and Christian have joined the team as board members!

We want to do everything we can to come alongside and help them with this vital ministry, so this Saturday we’ll be taking a break from our usual study so our local people will be able to attend the annual Hope for the Future Dinner. (Because we all study the same passage each week, this means no Saturday morning online study this week either.) This annual dinner is the primary way they raise funds for the ministry operating costs for the whole next year. All contributions go directly to actual ministry in Romania; any administrative and support roles or expenses here are provided on a 100% voluntary basis.

The dinner is Saturday at 3 pm. You’ll hear about what the ministry has accomplished this year, enjoy a wonderful Romanian meal, and have the chance to bid on some really fun items that are part of a silent auction! See above for more information, or you can check out their website at: hopeforthefuture.org

We’d love to see a large number of our local people show up to support this important work! (And next Saturday, we’ll continue our new series in the book of Revelation!)

Thanks, everyone!
